PRYDE is excited to share that this year, we partnered with NYS 4-H to coordinate research talks for the 4-H In-Service happening on Cornell’s Campus from May 15-17th.  As many of you will be traveling to Ithaca to attend the 4-H In-Service, we wanted to make the most of this opportunity and incorporated the annual Youth Development Research Update as a hybrid event.

For our remote community members, we are sharing information below regarding two research presentations:

1. Keynote:  Aligning Youth & Program Strengths to Support Positive Youth Development  by Dr. Jennifer Agans, Assistant Professor, Penn State College of Health and Human Development

Wednesday, May 15 at 2:30pm-3:30pm Register for this hybrid webinar here.

2. Research Presentation:  The Positive Development of Young People: Findings from the Reconnection and Replication of the 4-H Study of Positive Youth Development  by Dr. Richard Lerner, Dr. Jacqueline Lerner, & Dr. Mary Buckingham, Institute for Applied Research in Youth Development, Tufts University

Thursday, May 16 at 11am-11:45am Register for this hybrid webinar here.

For those of you who will be joining us on campus, PRYDE also invites you to join our networking reception on Thursday, May 16 at 5pm in the Human Ecology Commons to converse with other researchers and practitioners interested in collaborations to promote youth wellbeing.

We hope that you will join us for these opportunities to re-connect and discuss the latest in youth development. We look forward to seeing you either online or on campus!

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
