Host Families are URGENTLY NEEDED for this summers exchange!

Contact Autumn Lavine (aml84@cornell.edu) for more information.

Our Summer delegation will arrive July 22nd and stay through August 15th.  The only travel that is required is the pick up and drop off of the youth in Syracuse, NY.  Delegates are coming here for a full immersion into the AMerican Family and to experience life in America with your family.  Delegates travel with their chaperones (2) who are housed in the same manner as the youth.  Chaperones are available via phone or email throughout the stay to help navigate any challenges that might arise.  There is no expectation that you do anything outside of what your normal summer plans are.  IF you like to stay home and BBQ in the back yard, then that is what the delegate will do too.  Host families must have a bed for their delegate to sleep in, they can share a room with their host sibling.

Host families must successfully complete the online application, reference checks, criminal background checks and an in home interview/visit. You do not need to be currently enrolled in 4-H to host!

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
