Summer 2023 International Hosting Opportunities

nys4h4

Good Day Educators and Happy New Year!

We are trying to get a head start on the recruitment for Host families for this summers’ International Exchange. You can find additional information on the NYS 4-H website. NYS is excited to again be hosting 25 Japanese delegates and 2-3 chaperones this summer (2023). If a family from your county applies, you will be notified and be included in the process as much or as little as you like. We will invite you to attend any orientations and I am here to answer any questions that you may have. We appreciate your help and support for this program and for all that you do to support the youth of NYS.

I will be reaching out through the 4-H Online system to all youth registered in that system on Friday and will share the message I send with all the educators at that time. That way, those counties not utilizing 4-H Online may forward the appropriate information.

For more information about the program you may visit NYS 4-H Website https://www.nys4-hstaff.org/international-exchange or the States’ 4-H Website https://www.states4hexchange.org/

I am always available to answer questions so don’t hesitate to ask.

Have a wonderful day!

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
