Sign Up to work at the Dairy Cow Birthing Center at the NY State Fair

The New York Animal Agriculture Coalition (NYAAC) is looking forward to welcoming student clubs/organizations to join us at the Dairy Cow Birthing Center and the Mobile Dairy Experience again this year.

Our schedule has been updated for you to review and sign up for any shift that works for you and your students.

A few notes to consider:

  • Your chapter/club will earn $100 for each shift

  • There is a different schedule for both the Dairy Cow Birthing Center and the Mobile Dairy Experience.

  • We ask that you sign up for ONE shift at the Dairy Cow Birthing Center to begin with to allow other chapters/clubs the opportunity to join.

  • There are plenty of opportunities at the Mobile Dairy Experience, multiple shifts per day, so feel free to fill in your time at the Mobile Dairy Experience.

NEW

  • An adult chaperone is REQUIRED to stay with your group while volunteering. Please DO NOT plan on dropping kids off at the beginning of the shift and returning at the end. The students are ultimately not our responsibility (it’s a school function) and require an adult to be with them during their volunteer time.

Please reach out to Eileen Jensen with any questions at eileen@nyanimalag.org

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
