Last Chance to Register for the 4-H/Human Ecology In-Service!

Just a friendly reminder that the registration for the 2026 Human Ecology In-Service will close on Weds, April 9th. We also want to let folks know that there seemed to have been a glitch with the registration link which has not been updated and should be working for all who want to register.  When registering please select domestic check.  We will be billing after the event and we will send a registration confirmation asking for your billing information as well as checking in with your parking needs. Please reach out if you are having difficulties and we are happy to assist folks.

The Human Ecology In-Service will be on campus April 15th - 17th, 2026. It will feature engaging and impactful workshops and posters led by our colleagues across the University and across the state.

In this three-day professional development event, you will:

  • Gain a shared understanding of how Cornell Human Ecology (CHE) engages in the Land Grant mission, improving human lives through connection and collaboration across contexts

  • Build reciprocal relationships with colleagues across nutrition, parenting, 4-H, and anyone working with people through Extension

  • Connect with Cornell faculty and staff, community partners, CCE leadership, and CU students

  • Build skills to grow and improve programs in your community

  • Be part of determining how we take CHE Extension work into the future

This event is open to:

  • Extension Educators and Practitioners, including those from 4-H, parenting, nutrition, and more

  • Campus and community partners

  • Anyone serving youth, families, communities and working in areas of human thriving

Check out the In-Service webpage for more information including the schedule and descriptions of workshop and poster sessions.

Register here by April 9th. Registration is $75 per person and includes meals and program.

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
