Just a reminder that our next ocean adventure will be a virtual tour of the RUCOOL (Rutgers University Center for Ocean Observing Leadership) glider lab next week on January 10, 2023 from 5:30 - 6:30 PM.

Bring your curiosity as we dive into this underwater adventure with scientists from the RUCOOL lab! We'll tour the glider test tank and see how the RUCOOL scientists ballast gliders to prepare them for their ocean missions. Bring your model glider with you if you'd like so you can practice, too! We'll also visit the COOL room where scientists receive data from the gliders. We'll learn about how that data helps scientists better understand hurricanes and make predications to help communities deal with storms.

This is free and open to all interested 4-H youth and their families. RSVP here for Zoom connection information.

Explorers of the Deep focuses on the mysteries and adventures of ocean exploration—with robots! Join us in the virtual NYS 4-H Family STEM Challenge as we explore oceans, stewardship, and careers together.

Later in January we will tour the ICEFIN lab, take action to protect the oceans, and have an hour of code. Check out the NYS 4-H Family STEM Challenge event page for details and for more ocean adventures! We also post recordings and resources from past events there.

The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America.
