Diversity & Inclusion Network Resource and Networking Days @ the New York State Fair (In-Person, Syracuse)

Diversity & Inclusion Network Resource and Networking Days @ the New York State Fair (In-Person, Syracuse)

Connect. Inform. Be informed.

The Department’s Diversity & Inclusion Network aims to raise awareness of resources, to support the development of leadership skills, and to improve engagement with diverse leadership. The Network especially focuses on the support of historically underrepresented communities in agriculture and their supporting advocates.

The Resources and Networking Days breaks silos between state agencies and community-based organizations. Learn about state-level resources outside of the Department of Agriculture and Markets that support the agriculture community, as well as connect with leadership from other organizations with aligned interests and communities served. There are two options of days to participate (August 22 and August 29) and also enjoy the New York State Fair (discounted tickets for registrants).

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
