2026 March Dog Madness

The NYS 4-H Dog Advisory, in collaboration with the State 4-H Animal Science staff, is excited to announce the 2026 March Dog Madness! This year’s event will take place on Saturday, March 7th, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost of the workshop is $25, which includes lunch and materials.

March Dog Madness is aimed at 4-H Teens, Volunteers, and Educators interested in the 4-H Dog Program. Please note that participants are not allowed to bring their own dogs; only presenters will have dogs onsite. For more details, visit https://cals.cornell.edu/nys-4-h-animal-science-programs/companion-animals/dogs/march-dog-madness.

All participants must register through their local 4-H Youth Development Educator at their county's Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Office. County 4-H staff must complete registrations by Friday, February 27th, 2026. Registrations can be submitted online. After registration, an email confirmation will be sent to the CCE staff member’s email address. The staff member who registers participants will receive an invoice post-event and may pay via check or with credit card. Please note, if you are not a CCE staff member, your registration will not be accepted. A Cornell NETID is required for registration.  To register Youth you will need to know if they have food allergies and also what 2 of the 3 workshops in the morning they prefer.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

  • Cancellations made before the registration deadline will incur no charges.

  • Cancellations after the deadline will be billed.

  • Substitutions or same-program replacements are permitted but must be registered and approved by the event coordinator prior to arrival.

  • No-shows will be charged in full.

  • Each participant must be registered separately.

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.
