Volunteer Matters - March 18th

Dear Colleagues -

National Volunteer Week is April 19th-25th! The perfect opportunity to celebrate the incredible impact of the 15,000+ CCE volunteers who dedicate their time, energy, and skills to making a difference across NYS. A huge thank you to you all on helping us determine that number. A 100% submission for the Annual Volunteer Reporting Survey is something to celebrate! Stay tuned for report based on all the data you shared.

Recognizing volunteers not only shows appreciation for their hard work but also strengthens their connection to our mission, encourages continued engagement, and inspires others to get involved. Consider taking time during National Volunteer Week to show gratitude in meaningful ways—whether through a public thank-you, personalized notes, small appreciation events, or social media spotlights. Every act of recognition goes a long way in making volunteers feel valued and appreciated. Let’s make this National Volunteer Week a time to honor those who give so much to support our communities.

Join Volunteer Matter 3/18 @ 2pm for Maximizing National Volunteer Week: Creating Meaningful Recognition & Celebration (Register) to help leverage this special week to enhance volunteer retention and community awareness. A win-win!

Stay warm, stay connected, and thank you for all you do!

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
