STARR 2023 Registration Open


Happy First Day of Spring Colleagues!

As this day marks the beginning of spring, our virtual registration doors for the State Teen Action Retreat (STAR) are officially open. STAR will be held May 19-21, 2023, at 4-H Camp Shankitunk and youth ages 13 and up are encouraged to attend. STAR is the NYS 4-H Youth Development's premiere youth voice event where a youth-adult planning team meets to plan, execute, and explore experiential learning. Program highlights include:

  • New ideas and programs that can reinvigorate 4-H your program offerings in your county.

  • A motivational keynote speaker who is a 4-H & STAR alumni.

  • Community service opportunities.

  • Plenty of opportunities to have fun and learn more about others and ourselves!

Register now until April 14, 2023. You will find a printable registration form attached and there are a series of forms required for all of our statewide events. Please note that all registration forms and additional permission forms have to be turned in by April 14, 2023, and you should start on those right away.

If you are registering a 4-H member please have them complete the 4-H Member packet, if you are an adult chaperone/CCE approved volunteer/CCE Educator (who attended a statewide event in 2022), please complete the forms in the folder named CCE Volunteer partially registered, and if you have not attended a statewide event before please utilize the folder named New CCE Volunteer. These forms can be found here.

I am available and can be reached by email or phone if you have any questions or need help navigating this new process. We will also create opportunities for weekly zoom calls to help answer questions and walk you this new process.
