Save the Date - 4-H Capital Days

ree

Save the date! 4-H Capital Days will be May 17-19, 2026!

4-H Capital Days is an NYSACCE4-HE-sponsored event that gives youth an opportunity to meet and interact with legislators and tell their 4-H story. 4-H Capital Days creates awareness of career opportunities in the New York State government, a better understanding of state government, and networking with delegates from other counties. Delegates are chosen by their county 4-H program and chaperoned by their 4-H Educator or adult volunteer.

If you have teens interested in applying for the Teen Planning Committee, the application is available on the website. The Teen Planning Committee is responsible for planning the ice breakers, the evening activities, designing the t-shirt, and introducing speakers. Applications are due January 16, 2026.

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
