Join us for an interactive 4-H Clover Academy focused on the 4-H Thriving Model of Positive Youth Development! The Thriving Model is the theory of change for PYD in 4-H and helps us create program settings that cultivate belonging, developmental relationships, and authentic engagement and where youth find and fuel sparks.
The session will include:
Overview of previous core 4-H learning theories and change models, and an exploration of how the 4-H Thriving Model builds on previous work and represents an evolution in our understanding and application of PYD theories and practices.
A deeper dive into the core of the theory, the importance of the Developmental Context (Sparks, Belonging, Relationships and Engagement) and support to reflect on how your work reflects these principles. We will also create space to identify the challenges and opportunities for growth that you may be experiencing while applying the model to 4-H programming in your state.
Connection with our Northeast 4-H Thriving Model Champions to help the group explore these concepts, ask questions, and share timely feedback from direct experiences.
Exploration of where the 4-H Thriving Model work is heading in the coming months in your state, in the Northeast, and nationally and how you can stay connected to this exciting work!
Are you interested in learning more about the 4-H Thriving Model in a supportive and reflective space with your colleagues from all over the Northeast? Please join us for the June 8th 4‑H Clover Academy and you will be on your way to thinking about the model in new ways, learning from your colleagues, and taking away resources and information that you can apply in your local 4-H program!
