We invite you to consider a contribution to the 2026 Human Ecology In‑Service, hosted in collaboration with FNEC, NYS 4‑H, PRYDE, ACT for Youth, and the Parenting Project in Ithaca, New York (April 15–17, 2026). The Human Ecology In-Service invites everyone in CCE to connect and share our work in helping humans and communities thrive.

The theme — improving human lives through connection and collaboration across contexts — guides our call for proposals. We are seeking:

  • One‑hour workshops focused on knowledge sharing, skill development, or program examples that participants can take back to their communities. Please indicate the primary intended audience for your workshop.

  • Interactive exhibits (poster or other formats) to share knowledge, showcase programs (including successes and failures), or engage potential collaborators.

Presentations may be topic/department specific or broadly applicable; please be prepared for a varied audience across departments and disciplines.

We are also requesting volunteers to assist with evaluation and selection of proposals. Please indicate your willingness to serve in that role on the proposal form. We appreciate your time and expertise. If you have any questions or need the proposal form or submission details, please let Autumn know and she will send them your way.

Proposals are due: February 23rd

Selected proposals will be notified: early March

Thank you for your time and consideration,

CHE Planning Team

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
