Dr. Mingla Charoenmuang is an Extension Associate and Health, Wellness, and Food Systems Specialist for New York State 4-H Youth Development, where she designs experiential programs that help youth explore the connections between agriculture, food systems, health, equity, and sustainability. With a doctorate in Youth Development and Agricultural Education from Purdue University, she integrates systems thinking and learner-centered approaches to inspire responsible citizenship and holistic understanding of food systems. Mingla is also active in curriculum development, interdisciplinary teaching, indigenous knowledge integration, and professional development, and she manages the @FoodSystemsThinker social media accounts to further youth engagement and education.

With over 20 years in NYC education, Dr. Liz McKoy transitioned from science research to teaching science in Brooklyn. Holding a doctorate in Urban Education, her research centers on advancing equity in STEM fields. As NY Sun Works’ Director of Education and an adjunct Assistant Professor at Hunter College, Liz focuses on developing curricular content, pedagogy, and program assessments, leading a skilled team of NY Sun Works educators.

As the Partnership Specialist at Green City Growers, Leila Skinner invests in and expands school and non-profit partners to bring engaging and beautiful urban gardens and education to more people. Leila's education and professional background focus on food, equity, and sustainability.
