Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) is a pioneer of purpose-driven science and works across many disciplines to tackle the challenges of our time through world-renowned research, education, and outreach.

New York Agricultural Education, FFA, and Agriculture in the Classroom have a long history of creating lasting impacts in our youth and workforce development for New York’s leading industry – agriculture. The Agricultural Education Program at CALS is growing, and we are welcoming applications for two new Urban Specialist Positions. These new positions will aid in the creation of strong new professional development in the food and agriculture curriculum for grades Pre-K through 12, and growing agriculture programs and FFA Chapters in underserved NYC boroughs.

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
