ANIMAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT NYS FAIR ENTRY PROCEDURE – Deadline, Friday August 4

***It is very important families use an email that they check regularly.***

All entries for the New York State Fair Animal Science Department 51 will be made by exhibitors on the ShoWorks Platform and also on the NYS 4-H Animal Science page. New this year: all entries will be done online and not through paper copies. Below is a quick link for the online Qualtrics forms that need to be filled out depending on the species. Please make sure all youth are aware that they must enter on both the ShoWorks and Qualtrics Platforms.

Exhibitors must receive the endorsement of a county 4-H Educator, FFA Advisor or other breed organization as permitted by the specific department. Any entry that does not receive endorsement will be scratched.

Exhibitors must meet all additional requirements set by that organization (i.e., membership, ownership, specific class requirements, etc.) as well as any animal health and registration requirements specified by their department superintendents. Be sure to check the premium book for the requirements of each species to ensure all required documentation is submitted.

Exhibitors are responsible for emailing their entry receipt, along with any additional required paperwork/information to their County Educator and Department Superintendent. A directory of these contacts is located here.

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
