Agricultural Youth Work Guidelines – Your Feedback Requested

Agricultural Youth Work Guidelines – Your Feedback Requested

The Agricultural Youth Work Guidelines (AYWG) are a safety resource which provide youth agricultural safety guidance for 48 different agricultural tasks. AYWG are used by farm parents and youth supervisors to match a youth’s physical and developmental capabilities to the task they are assigning them to reduce injuries and fatalities among youth doing farm work. The National Children’s Center for Rural and Agricultural Health and Safety would like your feedback on the AYWG and invites you to participate in a short survey. The focus of this study is to identify factors affecting the use of Agricultural Youth Work Guidelines. We are looking for feedback from those who:

·       are 18 years old or older

·       are actively engaged in agriculture

·       oversee youth between the ages of 7 and 18 performing tasks in an agricultural environment

You will receive a $10 Amazon gift card for completing the survey. Survey results will be used to improve the use and dissemination of Agricultural Youth Work Guidelines. Please be sure to complete the incentive survey at the end to receive this gift card.

We appreciate your time and consideration in completing this survey. Your participation is completely voluntary, and your responses will be kept confidential.

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
